User-Centered Design

For the past 10+ years in the UX field,

most of my projects have followed the process outlined below.

User first!

I always begin by understanding the users' current usage, how they accomplish their goals, pain points, and expectations with existing products or services. If there are no existing solutions, I focus on gaining deep insights into the users' context to forecast future product or service development.

This approach recognizes that the user is the most important stakeholder in the design process, and it puts the user at the center of everyday decisions and design iteration.

Putting the user first doesn’t put the business last

User-centered design doesn't mean neglecting the business aspect. Effective design delivers value to both the user and the business.

As a UX researcher, I provide recommendations that address user needs while considering business goals. This ensures that design changes benefit both parties. I refer to this approach as "scheming for good" — finding ways to optimize products or services for human well-being while generating value for all stakeholders involved in the solution.

By putting the user first and aligning it with the business goals, I strive to create designs that are both user-friendly and commercially successful.
